Co-Owners Invited to Speak at Northwest Coalition 'kNOw Meth' Kickoff Conference

Stokes+HERZOG owners Chris Herzog and Sarah Stokes are taking some time to help local prosecutors, police chiefs, county sheriffs and other treatment professionals learn how to market their anti-meth messages to their communities.

“As television news anchors and reporters for almost 20 years, Sarah and I spent a considerable amount of time reporting on all aspects of the meth crisis starting in the late 1990s. This is an opportunity to give back and help all of these professionals get the ‘kNOw Meth’ campaign out to people in western Wisconsin,” said co-owner Chris Herzog.

Stokes and Herzog were invited to hold an educational session kNOw Meth conference at U.W. Eau Claire. Almost 300-attendees are there to learn about the latest skills and techniques to market this important message to both kids and adults in often rural areas.

The two investigated hundreds of stories over their careers spanning the methamphetamine problem from North Dakota to Texas and Missouri. Many of the stories focused on the victims, the law enforcement officers and even the people who manufactured the drug in bathtubs and mobile meth labs across the country.

“Chris and I have seen the horrible toll this drug has on families and people all across the country. We want to help law enforcement and community agencies by creating action plans based on our experience and skills as advertising and marketing professionals. It’s hard to know how you can make a difference in terms of this awful drug epidemic, so we hope this creates a positive ripple effect,” co-owner Sarah Stokes said.
