Stokes+HERZOG team presents on best social media practices

Eau Claire—Stokes+HERZOG team members, Taylor Pelissero and Lindsey Overby recently presented in Stevens Point, Wisconsin at the Northwoods Coalition Annual Meeting and Training where they informed audience members about why it’s important to manage your social media accounts as a business. Did you know the top five most utilized social media platforms are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Snapchat? Billions of people use these websites every day to socialize with friends, promote their company and products, and to browse for their own pleasure. With so many accounts online, it’s a no brainer why you should be building up your social media repertoire.

At the conference, Overby and Pelissero spoke about why it’s important to connect with people on social media. For many, it’s an easy way to target their audience members.

After talking about target audiences, they talked about what type of social media platforms work best to communicate with particular demographics. They also touched on which websites work best for specific audiences.

A few of the take away tips from their presentation included what you should be posting on social media. A few pieces you should consider include posting pictures, videos, planned events, news and personal stories.
